Asterisk Residence           Be bold! Live in a beautiful and innovative space.

Asterisk is a house with a floor plan like an asterisk and an Anasazi-esque sandstone tower. It has a spectacular view of two great ranges of the Rocky Mountains. Wolf Creek Pass, the snowiest in Colorado, is close. The rivers, deserts, and Indian ruins of the Southwest are nearby.

Asterisk is comfortably heated in the winter by the sun shining in through the windows (full passive solar, with fireplace and in-floor hydronic back up).  It is made of gypsum plaster, tile, glass, wood, concrete, and stone, with exceptional ventilation. Asterisk's interior consists of six barrel vaults, with vertical walls, intersecting in a central skylight.  It is a bright and healthful place to live.

Passive solar house. Underground house. Hypoallergenic house. Unconventional house. Extremely fire resistant house.
